BUKET’S Story
A post from documentary filmmaker, Daniel Brown:
Cyrus Yazdani, known in the graffiti community as BUKET, is not your typical graffiti artist. The college graduate’s work can be seen from L.A. to New York and everywhere in between.
While holding down a full time job, BUKET was suspected by authorities of hitting up his moniker an estimated 100,000 times between L.A. and Las Vegas. This spree led to his arrest, and a strong cult following to his youtube clips.
Never shy about his work, BUKET was videotaped writing his name in huge bubble letters on a freeway overpass above ongoing traffic in the middle of the day. The video which made him an instant legend can be seen here. And another video showcasing some of his work can be found here.
I have been a close friend of Cyrus since we were in middle school and I am hoping to get the funding to do a documentary on his story. Anyone that is interested in helping, financially or otherwise, please send me an email at imdannybrown@gmail.com.
For anyone and everyone else, I ask you to please read the blog that has been set up for BUKET to hear his full story in his own words. The blog can be found here.
Thank You,
Daniel Brown
